How Programs Performed
Entities that expend $500,000 ($750,000, effective December 2014) or more a year in federal awards must have an audit conducted in accordance with federal guidance. The audit provides a primary insight into a program's compliance with applicable regulations and steers the effort of correcting any deviation from best practices and standards. Browse information to assess public entities' compliance with program standards, down to the level of finding and category of compliance.

Federal Single Point of Contact Reporting System
If no exemption is afforded under a specific program, prior to or during the grantor evaluation process, grant applications originated by public or private entities must be submitted for review to the Commonwealth's Single Point of Contact, as directed by the Presidential Executive Order 12372. Furthermore, the Commonwealth's Administrative Bulletin 4763-A extends the previous mandate to all public entities and municipalities, including those exempted under EO 12372, and require to report on the approval status of the application. The Planning Board's SPOC implements this process.
